Medical and Scientific Equipment

INVAP is a world-class supplier of medical and scientific equipment.

In nuclear medicine, INVAP´s TERADI-800 teletherapy units and UNISIM simulators, a pair of sturdy and trustworthy pieces of medical equipment, are operating in Argentina, Bolivia, Venezuela and Colombia. In some other countries, like Siria, Egypt, India and Brasil, similar equipments have been sold and are in different stages of their installation. In some of these countries, INVAP has not only sold units, but built -or advised in the building- of the most important local radiotherapy centers.

INVAP has designed and constructed a Quadrupole-Dipole-Dipole (QDD) Magnetic Spectrometer and its associated detector for the 20 UD tandem accelerator of the TANDAR laboratory at the Argentine National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Built in the late seventies, the U$ 80 million TANDAR is still the largest particle accelerator in the southern hemisphere

Regarding scientific equipment, INVAP's expertise in magnetic optics and mass spectrometry dates as far back as the early 80's in the construction of TANDAR (the biggest particle accelerator in the southern hemisphere), and the Pilcaniyeu Uranium Enrichment Plant for Argentina's National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA).

As a supplier of high or ultra-high vacuum chambers, INVAP's customers range from Argentina's National Commission for Space Activities (CONAE), who need to test their space-based satellite cameras, to North Carolina State University, USA, who carry out research on new electronic materials.
