Wind power production worldwide is one of the fastest growing fields in renewable energy sources. INVAP could not be absent from this subject, especially since Patagonia´s winds are an enormous energy source, especially apt for energy production, though difficult to manage. INVAP has started work in this field a long time ago, starting by an assessment of the resource at different locations. We were thus able to select sites for wind farms, while developing generators especially for the local conditions.
