Industrial Area

INVAP has expertise in several industrial technology areas:

  • Customized robotic equipment for operations in hazardous environments;
  • Environmental engineering and hazardous waste treatment;
  • Industrial automation, quality and process control equipment in industrial process engineering;
  • Wind power and eolic farming equipment.
Projects portfolio

Wind Power
Electricity produced by the force of wind can be a great source of income in a country because non-renewable fuels are saved and because energy thus generated does not aggravate the situation of global warming.

Ammonia Absorption Units
An Ammonia Absorption Unit absorbs gaseous ammonia (NH3) from a water stream. The resulting product is an ammonia-water solution with a high content of NH3.

Food Freeze-Drying
By means of freeze-drying (lyophilization), biological matter can be preserved without any damage. The water content is frozen; and the ice is then removed by sublimation (ice turning directly into vapor without transforming into water). By this method the twin advantages of freezing and drying are combined into one favorable means of preservation.

REMA-1
The set of automatic or semiautomatic machines and tools designed to work at a distance is known as REMA-I - REpair and MAintenance. REMA-I was conceived to work in areas either difficult to access or in radioactive environments.

Hazardous Industrial Waste Treatment
INVAP designed and built a facility for the treatment and final disposal of hazardous industrial waste in Zárate (Province of Buenos Aires). This plant was built to offer waste treatment services to third parties, in response to the great demand stemming from the numerous industries operating in the area. The AILINCO plant was designed to deal with hazardous industrial waste. Waste processed at the plant does not include household garbage, hospital refuse, explosives, or radioactive waste.
