After the final local tests which were performed at our facilities jointly by NASA, CONAE, Argentine Universities´ and INVAP personnel, with the assistance of technicians from the other participating countries - Italy, France and Canada - SAC-D was finally dispatched for final tthermovacuum tests to be performed in Brazil, with its principal payload, the radiometer especially concieved by JPL/NASA to measure Ocean salinity and "roughness". If these tests are passed - succesfully, as expected - the equipment will progress to the Vandenberg Base of the US Air Force, to be launched next April by a Delta II vector.
